Advertising does not make it ecommerce. Please note: I haven't looked at the particular site in question, I'm just arguing the general point. Links to "ecommerce" are what's not allowed, and that's not the same as saying any site with adverts or links out.

Hi Kimbo, willl you please have a look at the BigCrumbs site and see if it violates anything. It does mention EBAY a lot, but if eBid charged a fee (which is what they base your refund on), we could probably be listed also.

I have written to "help' asking for a determination.

No big deal....I just wanted to get some referrals to help my monthly payback. Similar to the "buddy" thing here.

... okay, it's a tricky one to be certain about, but I'd say it's *not* ecommerce, since it's not trying to directly sell anything, nor is it taking your money for membership. It's a type of affiliate marketing portal thingummy - it's not taking sales from here that I can see. It's not you (or them) trying to sell widgets that you could just advertise on here instead. If it was up to me I'd say it was okay.

We already knew that. The question is - and they haven't answered it - is does that sort affiliate site count as ecommerce? I'd say it doesn't. But maybe ebid would disagree?
