Well, if Woolworths do go down, I might be in luck to get their store on my local high street if I can raise the funds hehe.. It's a decent sized store too. Not one that will remain empty for long! Doubt the bank will help me out though after getting us all into this problem in the first place, quick to take our money, quick to throw it on the fire, quick to take our taxes to bail them out, but give sod all back and no help from them either when you need it!
Down my local high street, one end you have a Safeway, the other end a Sainsbury's, I doubt council or whoever will let Tesco open there in Woolworths place, but there's a boots, decent sized store which might move into Woolworth's current place or WH Smith might.
That's if the Woolworths does go that is. Be nice if the bank would give me the money to get their place and fill it with toys! Be perfect for me and location too.

“Doing business without proper advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does and the girl doesn't even know you're winking at her either."
It's such a sorry state of affairs.
But the Woolworth name. must be worth soemthing~ so hopefully someone will buy it and carry on.
We have a large Woolworth near me~ a great bunch of people work there. Nothing is too much trouble.
I would hate to think of them without ajobs
