    Anyone else noticed this?
    Yes it can be a real pain, especially when you've spent ages creating something. The WYSIWYG tends to strip out some tags (especially css) so you need to use inline css for it to work at all.

    Recently the background: style tag was being mangled by the WYSIWYG, the repeat atribute was stripped out & some weird code was added, I was using it for a gradient background, but the WYSIWYG kept tiling it last I heard Gazza was still looking into the problem.

    I just had a look it did the same to yours busylizziecraftsit looks like the problem is made worse by using firefox as those moz tags must originate from there.
    Code:
    -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial

    I think it doesn't like you using multiple atributes even though it is perfectly valid HTML,
    you've used
    Code:
    background: transparent url (http:etc) repeat scroll 38px 0px;

    I was using
    Code:
     background: url('http:etc') repeat-x;
    & the repeat-x was being stripped out & being replaced with the moz tags.
    When I re did it with each atribute listed singly
    ie
    Code:
    background-image: url ('http:etc'); background-repeat: repeat-x;
    it seemed to be ok.

    Question Help with photo hosting

    I just joined up with Ebid and like what I see. But I am completely new to ths idea of using html, I had Auctivia for the pictures I had on Ebay and the people I bought templates from just up loaded them for me. The first one I bought was just the instructions, because they said it was easy and just cut and paste. I took one look at it and it was major greek to me. I am no computer person. Is there no services for Ebid that will do the same thing, or am I reaching for the stars. Sellers Source states that any site that deals with basic html will except theirs does anyone have it or is there any other photo host I can use. I live in the US so I don't know if the photo host deals worldwide. Thanks for any help you can give me.

    to add free images you need an image host such as photobucket.

    listing here is the same as it was on feebay.

    and you can use feebay to type your listing out if your comfortable with their layout.

    all you then do is click feebays html tab and copy the whole html.

    open a new tab to sell on ebid

    enter the title add picture for gallery etc,

    then

    when time to add the description simply paste the code from feebay into the html deito of ebid.

    click preview and bang its all there for you

    if you are really stuck

    send me a private message via clicking on my user name above my eye on the left

    thanks Quad

    Hi there,
    you may want to try Photobucket. It's extremely easy, but you do need to take time and effort to make yourself at least little bit familiar with how it works. Most of the things may loook greek but once you look into it a bit you will find it very simple. Plus photobucket has tutorials to show you how it works and I think they also have forums where you can ask questions if you have problems. But make sure that you first try to figure out on oyur own before you'd post the question rather then use someone else to make the work for you, people are little iffy about this
    Good luck !!

    Ah, the joys of html lol. You do need to familiarise yourself with coding. htmp is pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it.

    I myself use photobucket for all my picture needs. I actually pay a subscription with them to get bigger storage and bandwidth.

    If you do use photobucket, it is pretty simple. After uploading the picture to photobucket, tick the box of the picture you want, then click "generate html and IMG code, this will take you to a page where you get 5 options of codes for different types of uses, for eBid I use the fifth code "URL's for email, Yahoo messenger, AOL messenger, etc" as I find this is the appropriate code anyway and you just copy the code and paste it into the appropriate box on the listing.

    Photobucket is free, and you get a lot of storage for free as well, but for extra storage and suitable bandwidth for a busy listing that sees a lot of traffic, you may want to pay a subsciption which I think start around $10.00, I forget what I paid, and it's only a fee once a year, and $10.00 is nothing once a year. Bandwidth is important as it's something to do with the usage of the picture, the higher the bandwidth, the more traffic you're allowed for that picture or something like that. If you exceed the bandwidth, photobucket do not allow the picture to be seen until the following month whe the bandwidht resets, so I would suggest paying for a subscription with photobucket, as they are easy to use, everything is simple, and I have never experienced any issues with photobucket unlike some FREE storage sites that annoy the hell out of you with pop-up windows and what not or make you sign in every so many days or they wipe your pictures out and have to re-upload everything.

    But yes, along with what others are saying. You really do need to familiarise yourself with coding, especially html as it is used a lot on almost everything. Might be worth your while buying a beginners guide to html or do a course, as it will help you in the longterm to know about these things if you wish to trade online..

    When I sold on the other side there were individuals that offered the service of auction templates and down loading into Auctiva for you. I just thought they may have the same kind of service on Ebid. When time is not something you have a lot of and willing to pay for the help. I have taken to heart what you said and I am taking a tutorial on the subject.

On SS, I selected a template, wrote my description in HTML and then added up to 10 photos. SS generated the code which I then pasted into my listing on Turbo Lister. From TL I uploaded it to eBay. This way I only paid for one Gallery Picture on ebay and the rest were free because ebay wasn't hosting them.

    Can I still use Sellersource for eBid? And if I can, what's the process? Are there other sites with templates and image hosting e.g. Auctiva that I can use with eBid?
    I just used TL and then copied HTML Code and pasted it into e bid listing and changed e bid back to Advanced and it worked fine for me, hope you got it working ok now.

    Hello
    I am looking at listing on Ebid as Ebay fees keep going up, however, Can I use Auctivia to submit my listings direct to Ebid?
