Default Using Google Checkout account for multiple sites

    Hi,
    I'm new to ebid.
Just set up Google Checkout as a payment option which all seems fine as far as eBid goes.

However, I already use my Google Checkout account for another couple of websites (although they don't use Callback URLs).
The bit that worries me is the requirement for adding the eBid API callback URL to my Google Checkout account.

My question is, if I add the eBid Callback URL to my Google Checkout account, will I continue to be able to receive & process payments from my other non-ebid websites without problems?

Does anyone else successfully do this?

    Cheers, Dave.

or another question could be... does Google Checkout work with eBid if I don't put the eBid callback URL in the Google Checkout config?

OP I would email google support (although they are a bit slow) and explain the situation and they will normally help you resolve the issue

You can use the same API from google on all sites that allow google, this is because the API is registered to your account. I use the same API on here and another site and have had no problems

Thanks Craig, but I was asking more about inserting the eBid Callback URL into my Google Checkout account, which I would worry could mean that Google Checkout would try to authenticate every transaction with eBid - even if the transaction didn't originate from eBid - or maybe it's cleverer than that?!

Well the answer I got from Google was that they didn't know whether it would be a problem or not if you tried to process transactions which didn't originate in eBid but still had the eBid Callback API in place.. but to avoid potential headaches they recommended use a different checkout account for transactions that don't involve eBid Level 2 integration.

Not really sure I want to go to that effort so will probably just forget Google Checkout with eBid.
