I dont understand my viewing statistics, they are all over the place, one item had 7 views all week and then none, today most of them have all but disappeared, wiped clean, what gives with the "views"?Is it working?

Almost all of my listings show zero views; they didn't a few days ago. I'm waiting for a tremor through the system to shake things loose.
The viewing figures are useless.
They have never been accurateand now they are all over the place and just meaningless.
.
Please could the eBid powers do something about this, and soon?
The viewing stats are currently worse than useless.
I have recently migrated from "another place" - at least the stats there were OK, even if other aspects weren't - and the lack of accurate viewing stats is making it difficult to assess whether the move is worthwhile.
Bumped in the hope that Gazza will see!!
OK - I know 'hits' arent all that important really - but at least they are a quick way of checking that your auctions are actually being seen - ie not offline or anything)
Hi everyone
This reminded me of a debate I have had with myself for ages now; (I know, it's the first sign of madness, LOL!) - IS it discouraging for potential buyers to see 0 visits or very few on our listings? Or does it make it look like they are the first to see something and spur them on to buy it before anyone else spots it?
On the dark side I am used to considering the viewing figures when assessing an item's appeal to people, whether it needs relisting or not if it doesn't sell etc etc.... can't decide here - I am wondering whether it is not a good idea to set the views counter back to 0 each time the listing is reposted ... but then again - if it carries on (and works properly!) then if an item has lots of views does it convey the feeling that lots of people saw it and thought it wasn't a good idea to buy it for some reason?
I'd be interested in what people think - particularly those who have been here a long time.

my opinion for what it counts is
If i hd an item that had been viewed 50+ times and not sold i may be inclined to lower the price and have a better chance of selling it. i was selling on here last year getting lots of views, now i get 1 0r 2 views every few days.
thanks
