Have you ever emailed the wrong person at work?

because I went and emailed one of the chief accountants at work this morning, when it was a message supposed to have gone to my husband! Luckily it wasn't compromising in any way, but I was very embarrassed about it I can tell you.
I know I shouldn't have even been emailing hubby at work anyway, so feel a bit guilty about that as well.
Will be more careful in future!!
Has any one else done this & much worse than me?

not in emails but a mate was trying to text me about a girl she couldnt stand and sent the text to her instead

I had a long series of emails from a customer who was being a real pain. Forwarded to my assistant with my notes - and forgot to take out the customers email address! Fortunately I hadn't been too rude, but had to do some quick talking to explain some of my comments about "he finally thinks he knows what he wants!" I remember that awful sinking feeling when I realised what I had done.

The office Manager in our US office went one better. She forwarded an email from their most important customer to me complete with a real rant about this very difficult person - and it went to them too. She did keep her job and the customer but it took an enormous amount of grovelling.

I haven't done it but had my so called mother text me her new number twice & we we're not even talking she denied it till I showed her the text, then she called me up asking for my brother so I said wrong number & hung up told her about it she denied it till I said what she had said & then remembered. Hmm me thinks she can go get her xmas turkey & get .........................

Not telling tales here...this one got into the local paper.

I have a friend who is a local counciller, labour party member, Star Trek fan.

He sent a circular out to all the other labour members of the council ( or thought he had) likening all the Liberal councillors to Klingons...etc etc.

The email went to all the Liberal councillors by mustake, who then sent a circular out likening him to the third member of the away team...the one who always dies on the away mission.

It was all reported in good spirit in the local news...

It was quite embarressing for him, but also funny at the time...well it was for us!!!

My son has also on occassion sent quite romantic texts to me...my name must be next to his girlfriends in his contacts list.

I have been know to reply and tell him 'I love you too son'....lol

Sent a text to my husband complaining about a female friend of ours texting me about something unimportant after midnight - when I had to get up early the next day...
Only, the text didn't go to my husband but to
our female friend.
Things have never been quite the same since with our friendship.

I am bad with texts. I sent one to my sis (Elaine) complaining about my youngest (Ellen) being a pain in the arse. Except I accidentally sent it to the name below Elaine's in the phone book - which was Ellen. That went down like a lead balloon with her. I've also sent a text to my other sis (Ange H) which ended up going to one of my ex-college mates Angie H - oops!

I once got peed off in a Yahoo group at someone who was being way out of line with others (a really nasty alcoholic bitch) and emailed the group mods. Except by mistake I sent it to the group itself, and that didn't go down too well with the bitch and her cohorts within the group. Took ages for them to stop submitting my email address to porn sites and stop sending me emailed death threats. You'd have thought that taught me a valuable lesson - to check the recipient and double-check it is going to the right place - but no, I am sure I'll make another monumental cock-up again sometime.
