Free listing??

I thought I would try listing some of my left over postcards that sell on ebay on ebid as I am informed its free to list on the basic account.

So how come I am being charged £1 before I have even finished the registration process?

It is free to list. For some reason certain people take that to mean that everything is free.

As you give no clue as to when during registration you are being charged then there is little scope to form an opinion. Maybe a fee for bad attitude?

You weren't 'charged' anything. your card would have been checked that's all. your statement will confirm.

Hi could you give more infomation about the type of account you have and if you where asking for your sales to be given any Extras , if you have a Selle+ account the basic auction is free . im sure with a little more info we can help you out

On the notice where it says you're being charged a pound... what does it *say* it's for?

Hi,

Am only guessing here but maybe the £1 is for credit card verification ?

Or, if you are actually being charged during listing, maybe it is for optional upgrades.

Just a small note: the boards on this site are very helpful and much more friendly than the "other side" - many of us, including myself, have migrated (or begun too).

There is very little, if any, 'stroppyness' here - which is very refreshing !
