Clockmad, I hate the gym, so avoid it all cost. I love my chocolate far too muchThe picture is more how I was 38 years ago......
Wow meebo! you looked great then, as you do now no doubt
Love the avatar meebo![]()
I sold some maps on Greedbay earlier this year. Not much interest in them and not much money to be made.
Maps were in great condition and of different parts of the UK, 1940s. Hope that helps![]()
Pre WWII maps are collectable, but depending on publisher how much you get for them is variable.
OS maps anywhere between £2 and £10, other publishers about half that amount. (that is if we're talking about UK maps; I don't know about foreign maps)
I have a set of 8 roller type wall maps that are from the 1940's (I think). I still need to do a little research to make sure of the age. They are in very good condition. Any ideas on the price for them?
Hey Meebo...
Just do a bit of checking on feebay and Gogle product search to see if any maps like yours are for sale and at what srt of prices...
As everyone says...surprising what people collect...
Older maps are part of local History so any older maps have a place.
Railway maps do sell as do geological and specialist maps..
But unless it was printed in the 1600's you probably wont make a fortune !!!

The only ones I could see would be worth anything is if they are of areas that have undergone major redevelopment e.g. Bolton in Lancashire where all the old mills and their infrastructure have gone. These may be of interest to people doing family research and trying to find old locations that have been lost.
That said...even such as these are available as reprints (going back to the 1800s) for just a couple of quid. So unless you have something like the Hereford Mapa Mundi or maps with doodles by Columbus on them I don't think you are going to make your fortune.
The word fortune never crossed my mind
But thanks everyone, I might just as well list them as I can't loose(only time), only win
Meebo, usualy at a fair we would sell that sort of map for about £1 if they are just run of the mill, its amazing what people will buy.
