It's a very gruelling marathon skated over the (almost) 200km of canals and lakes connecting eleven towns in Friesland in the Netherlands.

I never want to grow up.
However when I was a little girl I wanted to be an Air hostess, I hate flying though am claustrophobic.
But love to go to sunnier climates I am afraid.

Professional tennis player, but my Dad refused to pay for coaching when I started winning things (could only have one person very good at tennis in our house).

Or opera singer, but my mother wouldn't let me have singing lessons (could only have one person in our house with a good singing voice).

As a mid teenager I wanted to be a forensic scientist, as forensics had always fascinated me, and a visiting BAYS lecturer (British Assocation of Young Scientists) convinced me that it was everything I ever wanted to do, but the school careers advisor told me not to be so silly, because there were very few openings in forensics, and to go try something else. On my then current progress through the school they didn't think I was clever enough. (LOL).

Still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...I still feel like I'm about 25 years younger than I am, LOL.
Always wanted to be a teacher when I was a kid and also cos my father was a teacher, but when I was in uni I realised that most kids don't really want to learn half the stuff they have to learn, so I dropped out of uni. Would have liked to be a professional revolutionary for a while until I realised that most people weren't that interested in a revolution anymore.
Qualified as a translator and did freelance translations for a few years, but have also worked in lots of jobs that paid sh*** wages and that I was overqualified for.
Would've loved to grow up with computers as I would've like to acquire more specialist computer skills, but am now working on my first commercial website and hope that I'll be able to make some money with it in the future...before or after I grow up
