It's called a clootie dumpling because it's wrapped in a cloot (cloth) to keep it together while it's steaming.

What I want to know is, did you wrap it in the traditional type of cloot?

Nope - the elephant oil burner is quite safe - it ended late last night or early hours this morning but I have just re-listed all the burners and added some more today.

Managed to get my listings back up to 499 - but Annie says she will starve to death if I don't feed her so I'll be back after tea

I wrapped it in a Linen clootie cloth..my mum said it had to be linen...nothing else cooks it as good..and after eating a huge piece with cream..i have to agree ..
