I'm thinking of doing a personal FAQ. I've got as far as
1. No, I will not contribute to a TV campaign.

At the moment, I would rather any revenue was spent on getting this site stable.
There is absolutely no point in any advertising until people can access the site 24/7.
Even today, my success rate of accessing ''my ebid'' is less than 50%.

Also, because of an email I received from ebid today regarding promoting the site, i am removing all ebid leaflets from all sales on all sites, and no longer putting ebid labels on the outside of my packages.
You can assume from this that I will not be contributing £3.00 or even £0.03p towards television advertising.

Well if it keeps growing at the rate is has since I joined in Feb this year, this is my predictions.

2008 - 1,400,000
2009 - 3,000,000
2010 - 5,000,000
2011 - 8,000,000
2012 - 12,000,000

Member numbers (don't forget 1 user = only 1 ID 99% of the time)
2008 - 525,000
2009 - 800,000
2010 - 1,500,000
2011 - 2,800,000
2012 - 5,000,000

I think we will overtake feebay in listing numbers between October 2011 & May 2012

Sorry - not going to elaborate at this time - but I have also now removed ebid logo and link from the top of front page of my website.

You are correct tho - I am in a bad mood about it all, and feeling extremely negative about ebid right now.

i too contacted ebid today via marks request for motorway banner sites i got a very responsive reply, now as some of these banners are already in place and they are looking for more sites, this surgests to me 1] they are actively advertising the site with the hope no doubt of encouraging new buyers/sellers, one banner placed in the right place will be viewed by tens of thousands of people a day!, and there not just placing one banner! 2] now if this works the servers on this site are going to be busy, thats why i said earlier "i would not want to preempt the guys"they must be aware that site traffic is gonna increase ie be preparied for this! now as mark has said this is happening we are the ones who need to be ready,not only have they responded to requests there atualey doing some thing about it,as to wether this will be a huge increase in traffic straight away, or slowly build up we shall have to see,

Hi Hanna. You are correct in saying I should have done a forum search before raising this topic. My apologies to everyone!

I will have to learn to be more patient and get used to the very low rate of sales on this site.

I've only been listing for a month, It's bound to pick up by 2012
