I use a Launderette now as I can never get things dry with our wonderful weather!!

fora idea on prices I pay for service, drop off and collect washed and dry is £7 a bin bag full, extra £5 for budget iron service and its not great! but the wash and dry service is great, love it and it saves me money......on exlectric, but even with paying out £7 I am still saving £3 a week in electric!!!

the area of my local Launderette is mixed really, location is in a area where their is a lot of unemployment, drunks etc but is quite near my area where the houses all change to owned not rented and semis not flats, but I don't think their is any trouble but they do have 2 guard dogs big rockys!! who patrol at night!!
BIG SALE now on in my Bargain Shop

Good luck with the research red....sounds like you'd better not echo the old saturday morning catch phrase....

    'We don't do duvets.'

    (Trevor and Simon I believe)

I also assume you're going to have broadband in there and talk your customers through e-Bid while they're doing their smalls!

The addition of *some* extra activity/value to the process is well over-due - waiting for laundry is one of the most tedious activities in the world, and the "forced into conversation by a nutter" quotient is frighteningly high. I'm not sure computers + steamy laundry environment is a match made in heaven though. A coffee-bar would work. With cakes and buns. Though whether or not people would buy cakes and buns when they'd just been reminded of the size of their undies is another matter.
