I am in shock, was just about to step back over as I need a few things moving fast as I need a room for my son which is full of clothes my daughter has grown out of as well as 2 big boxes he has grown out of in 6 mths, but luckly I saw the message FREE GALLERY so I read on, glad I did, no change to listing fee for auctions but FVF increase and what a increase on the shop, which is what I was going to use with 150 items to list I was going to use shop and a few auctions.
Anyway I shall list them here and hope for the best as sales have been good the last few weeks, just clothes are very slow especially baby boys items.

minx, I closed my shop mid Feb; simply clicked on close shop and all my items ended up in "unsold". Of course they will only stay there for a max of 60 days.
If you do your "write-ups" in word, don't you save them?

We are all out to make a living, and am merely pointing out, that it is not as disastrous for those that list aruond 1,000 each month.
This is consistent with their apparent business plan to squeeze out the small sellers in favour of volume power sellers.

My father still quite happily lists individual items on fleeBay but they are rare antique items that he knows will fetch plenty, and they often exceed his expectations. I really doubt he would get so much interest if he listed them on eBid, there needs to be much more buyer education done to get buyers to look here.

He'd have to list them with a minimum price tag he's happy to accept and be patient! With the current climate on Feepay, I am sure buyers will gradually come here as they will no longer be able to find the small individual seller trying to get rid of the "odd item" over there

For def, I was getting quite excited about almost reaching powerseller status with my "cheap stuff" and looking forward to the discount to cover my fees. Ive been making pence per item for the last couple of months to try and get some custom for my online store, a couple of listings actually ended up costing me - just as well its a hobby rather than a living. And then they land the double fees on shops etc - its just scandalous "We will offer you free gallery pics, but we will charge at least double in charges for the privilege..." I agree to a point about the larger costing items that cost a couple of quid to list - 40p would be a welcome change, but it doesnt make up for charging 40p to list a 99p box of worry dolls!!
Good stuff greedbay, youve made my mind up without having to give it any thought. Shame really though, I was proud of my "super fast delivery" and 100% pos feedback.

Ho hum, £50 and a free tshirt later, just gotta find some time to get some listings up now...

Yup - and that is going to continue to be one of the biggest problems to ebid.

At the moment, buyers have no reason to leave the Dark Side and look elsewhere. Most of them just dont realise the problems that sellers are encountering.
Even if they see an item on here, and think to themselves, hmmm I want one of those, rather than give all their details here to join, are likely to go back across and see if the they find the same item, as they already have an account.

10 out of my last 12 sales here have been customers who request a special group or team on our hangers. I always tell them am happy to do it, but will only list it here. Up till now, each person who has asked for one, has come over and purchased.

I understand that many sellers are also buyers, so there WILL always be sales here, but how to get ''buyers only'' here? I just dont know the answer to that one.

as I said yesterday, I think the only way the buyers will come here is when they can't find the things they are looking for there because the (smaller) sellers won't be there. the hard part is getting the (smaller) sellers to actually leave the security of there and "take the risk" and come here.

on saying that I do have 2 "buyers only" that have come over from there because they can not find what they want for a price they want to pay over there.... so it has started

Well, i'm one of the 'smaller sellers', and ive migrated here in the last couple of days, primarily BECAUSE of the vast fee increase.
Given i had 4000+ feedback (99.9%), i feel ive been treated very badly by the 'dark' side (Didn't know it was called that till today..

I think a lot more are going to follow suit soon.

Heh, i even bought something within an hour of signing up here...
Just need to find time to get my shop out of it's fledgling state.
