Corporal Postcards how could you! Poor little piggies! Another good shopping trip for a vegetarian mum!

Thanks for the warning though but hubby teaches biology and says that all the schools teach it at different times around here, depending on which bit of the syllabus they do first, so it could be anytime between Sept - Dec.

Congratulations to Cadet Malcolm. With all these brainy cadets maybe we can put them to work upgrading our weapons systems.

    Sheesh
    , now I'm worried
So that's why you shed your uniform at all the parties. I thought it was just the general inability of Weegies to hold their Buckie.

That must have been one very warm winter if it was only semi-arctic!

I have quite a few friends in scotland from glasgow and edinburgh all the way up to the norwick in the shetlands... so long as they speak I can understand them.... it's when they write in their accents I get lost

When I first moved into this house I had a Scothman as postman. He used to do his rounds with his dog. One day I was out in the front when he came and I mad the big mistake of saying something to him. I just hope I said yes and no at the right time, because I didn't understand a word of what he said to me. Luckily my English has improved quite a bit since those days! The other one was Ian McGaskill?, the weatherman; whenever he read the weather forecast on tele I had to rely on the pictures to know what the forecast was; couldn't understand a word of what he was saying.

many years ago my (ex)wife's father was Irish..... for the first 6 months of knowing him I just hoped I said yes and no in the right places when we spoke.... even now I have problems with the Irish accent.... anywhere else in the UK I'm fine but when it come to the Irish... forget it, they might as well be speaking Chinese

That's what you think. Some lads came round with a laptop for repair the other day and Cadet Toz didn't understand a word they said.
