Redundancy affects everyone in your family.
It has happened to me on 5 occasions.
What you have to do is think positive and remember that as 1 door closes another opens.
I might have been made redundant 5 times but the longest that I have been unemployed for was 4 weeks.
Be prepared to change your lifestyle and the type of work that you do.
The last time I was made redundant I became self employed and never looked back.
Think positive and you will get by.
While you are here please check out my shops and auctions.
Thanks.
Dan.

What really depresses me, is that the greedy corporate B's who made the bad investments and gave bad investment advice to people, feathering their own nests at the same time, will get away with it and leave the rest of us to pay for it. A recession will not affect them in anyway and when all of us have paid dearly to make the mess right again, they will do it to us all over again. The corruption thats going on is disgusting.
PMSL Clockmad......
Exactly the right attitude....
This is not a post to depress but one to cheer.......Pessimists will read into this depression and gloom....
Optimists will read into it....so things are likely to change for me.....At last I may have the excuse to get out of my rut and do what I REALLY want to do.
Take note of Dan's post![]()

recession isn't declared yet, but it will be within the next 6-9 months if the UK continues to decline, it has to decline for 2 quarters for it to be declared, im not sure if it has yet but google says it hasn't?
I think its affecting everyone, its even affecting me! i now have to pay the company i buy from in japan in USD because GBP is too volatile for them!
Why thank you Red,
My glass is half full and all that
Mind you its a tatty old glass that I nicked from the pub. But its still half full![]()
I must be a cheapskate
I read that first post and it is how I always live.
I dont have holidays, dont run a car, dont buy convenience food and buy clothes from charity shops.
I also make full use of freecycle and end up getting lots of stuff for free.
My daughter is about to leave home and she will leave our household income short of about £150 per week and I will lose £50+ per week in carers' allowance so have no idea how I will be able to cut down expenses.
We will be having weetabix for lunch and I havent bought meat for years - too expensive.
Im sure Gordon Brown will help us out (runs and hides)
Reincarnation is just another repeat
Spyder speaks with forked tongue! We all know he can't run so how can we believe what he says about our esteemed PM?![]()
