! use a finepix fujifilm s5600, dont ask me if its any good as I dont have a clue, my sis upgraded and she gave me this one for nuffing.. I twiddle with the switches and take a few photos of the same thing then see which is best!! I should try and get a manual for it somewhere, my grandad was a proffessional photographer so you would think its in the blood but its not!!
I use photobucket... was having serious problems with it crashing and being unable to bulk upload until I worked out if you use firefox instead of explorer etc. photobucket runs a dream.. if only I had known that a few months ago!!!
Anyhoo, I must go and look for that manual!!!!!

I'm sure most digital cameras work just fine on full auto, buttons and switches just confuse the issue

There's a good book published by APress on the Gimp. You can do batch stuff with the Gimp.

All of my cameras (I have 3) are digital but the one I use most is a 2mega pixel Sony Cybershot which I bought second hand a couple of years ago.

One of the others is a 5 megapixel - also a Sony - havent a clue what the other one as I know zilch about cameras and only bought it coz it was cheap.

Sounds like you should auction that one! After all, nothing is cheap until you resell it at a profit!

I use an Olympus digital camera which I bought about 4 years ago. It only goes up to 1.3 megapixels and has no video feature - but is good enough to take photos for screen, and pretty okay for printouts!

Keep thinking I should upgrade but ..."if it ain't broke - don't fix it" (is my motto!) Mind you, the monitor on my laptop is cracked and bleeding and I'm still working with it!!!

I use a cruddy old Kodak DX somethingorother that I suspect wouldn't know a megapixel if it bit it on the bum. The docking station died a while ago, so now I use a card reader, and the rechargeable batteries are gawd knows where, so I feed it with AAs, but it keeps chuntering along. I tend to think that choice of background, good framing, quality of light, and a steady hand, are more important than the high-tech stuff... particularly for showing on screens that only do 72dpi anyway! If and when it finally dies I'll have to decide if I buy another cheapo, or get something seriously good to replace both it and my film camera... but I hope that choice is a long way off yet! <fingers crossed>

I agree - photography basics should not be forgotten!!
I think that's the problem with any affordable consumer product...the key to professionalism gets lost along the way. I have a 1st class BA Hons in Video Production and Visual Comms and it's an eyeopener to see what people produce (!)
Still, people can have lots of fun - who cares about that lamp post sticking out of someone's head??! LOL! Love to try one day, but my Degree kicks in!! he he...
