Putting Ebid store links in your signature

Hi everyone
Not the usual store link in signature question? I know how to copy and paste the links into the signature, and have had a link that worked once clicked on.

(now the bit where I confirm my muppet status)

when I clicked on the link I notice it had the following:

user Santa45/ Seller+/ +2/ logout

I was able to access all tabs under my account = Personel Details/ My ebid stores/ My subscription etc etc

Is this because I was clicking on the link, or have I done something wrong?

if someone else clicked on the link would they be able to access my personel details etc or would they only be able to see my auctions with the following on the top:

user Santa45/ Seller+/ +2/ login

It's difficult to answer your question without seeing the most important part of the matter - the actual link.

However, I doubt that anyone else would be able to access your information by clicking a link. It is likely to have happened for you because you are signed into the account and the link you used was part of your account management settings.

You should use something like the following link to direct people to your information and auctions:

http://uk.four.ebid.net/perl/normal.cgi?user=Santa45&mo=their-all-about

I think your right, but not something I wanted to take a chance on, I will give your suggestion ago tomorrow and see how it works out? Going to call it night for now, this thinking lark is very draining.

Don't type it; copy and paste it into your browser's address window and then you'll see the link is fine.

Link works, goes straight to my about me page. Where the same thing happens

If you take the link that Damian gave you:

http://uk.four.ebid.net/perl/normal.cgi?user=Santa45&mo=their-all-about

Now just change the user id and leave everything else the same:

http://uk.four.ebid.net/perl/normal.cgi?user=astral276&mo=their-all-about

Do you see my private account data on the screen or your own? Your own of course as that is the account you are logged into.

So it's safe to copy and paste store links and auction links (as everyone else gets the login one) Thanks for that. It's not easy being this paranoid and simple, but thanks to ebay i've managed to perfect it
