    hello
i also have a problem and keep getting the "forbidden" message.
i can access the site but only by going back and forward after logging in but i can't do anything - send invoices, list etc.
i have norton 2005 and don't have a problem with any other site.
i have looked at the threads above and i am really confused and frustrated.
is this going to be fixed or i am just not going to be able to access the site fully in the future
    please help
    regards moira

Hi Moira - I wish I could help but this is my first time on the site since my last post - it is too dangerous to keep disabling my Internet Security. I was rather hoping that Gazza would have been able to reply to my request for help but has not so i can only presume that no help is available and my custom no longer worthy. I just keep hoping that there will be a fix. I wish you better luck than I am having. Best wishes

Julie Gazza did ask you for a screenshot of what you DO see on http://www.stilllistener.com/checkpoint1/ssi/ (he knows you don't see the ssi stuff) probably would be a good idea if Moira did it too.
He's probably waiting for you to post it.
I know what you cannot see probably doesn't make any sense to the rest of us, but computer guys need as much information as possible.

Gazza, How about YOU responding to this Thread, or are you just sulking ?

I have been in touch with Symantec and they say its a site issue.

Here is the error I get when I try and visit this thread with NIS on.

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /showthread.php on this server.

I have even tried with NIS 2005 and have the same problem

Come on Gazza - Where are you on this ?????????????????

I understand that you may be a little less than happy, but if you want a reply from the site owners, the best thing to do would be sending an email to support@ebid.tv and put in the subject area, for the attention of Gazza or Mark, Re site issues. The guys have always responded this way.

I do hope this matter is sorted for all concerned.

Can you try again now, we've tweeked things again to try and fix the Norton problem.

The good news is that AVG have seem the error of their ways and are removing the rediculous elements from their anti virus software in an upgrade. We should be able to turn off all restrictions in the next couple of days.

Gazza. Thankyou for this. It is working much better now but I am still getting random 'Forbidden' messages when trying to access MY EBID. I am not sure if there is a pattern to this - say for example when going to it direct from the forums or something similar which is triggering it. I will have to have a play around and try different things and let you know if there is still a definite problem. I honestly cannot look at it today as I have a prior engagement but I will get back to you as soon as possible if I still need help. Thankyou once again

Gazza - everything seems to be working perfectly today so yesterdays few remaining problems may have just been a little blip. Thankyou for sorting everything out for us all - it is genuinely appreciated. Julie
