and after a while I get this response:

YOU MUST HAVE POSTED THE SAME THING 5 TIMES.

Comment by WE GOT THE MESSAGE EBID GUY.
    and

I see you have a referral link in your SPAM (for three bid.net), be a gentleman and make like a tree and leave

Comment by TO THE GUY WHO IS SPAMMING
    so I responded with

Are you referring to my 5 postings or the other postings re: FROM A FORMER EBAY EMPLOYEE: UNBELIEVEABLE!! 5 times also??
I get everyone else’s message too including the 5 times posted one re former ebay employee, mostly doom and gloom from everyone here.
I am spreading the good word here - A new venture, a bright future, an opportunity to get out of the doldrums. So come and join us

ebid.net poster. I just went to your site. Looked in my category (arts) saw listing after listing - no bids. You really think I can spend 49.99 for that? I can go to one of the others and list for free and get a bid now and then too and be way ahead of the game. Just a thought - you’re really not offering us the end all alternative. (shrug)
Hi jewel this is another reply that has also been posted a little further down, this is an issue that I do think ebid should address because when you are browsing you cannot see that bids have been made in items at first glance as they are all red.

Could items with bids not show up as another colour? Or say underneath how many bids have been placed? When sellers come to look this is what they see and it puts them off as they dont go through every listing looking for bids, they think it is like feebay where it will show as another colour.

Just my thoughts, I am thinking that it is putting off potential new sellers and buyers as it makes the site look like there is not much activity.

The answer to that one is very simple - most sales are sold as buy-it-now. Most eBid buyers seem to prefer it that way even though auction starting price is offered. You have only to check out the feedback of sellers to see if items are selling or not. eBid is not like eBay, it works differently, and much better in my opinion.
Good luck to everyone in your choices, may you be successful in your new venture. Peace.
This has been addressed by other members too.
