Talking First Google Checkout went without a hitch

I found it very simple to use, very straight forward, I even went to the Help to see if I was missing anything as it seemed too simple! There were only two buttons to click ('charge' and 'shipped') and that was it, done. Had to complete the eBid AAL separately but that only took two minutes so no problems there either.

You can set it so that its charged automatically.

Hi, I think I need some wise soul to explain google checkout to me. Is it not a seperate account like p*y p*l? It sounds like they put the money in your bank account. And then only on certain days of the week. I don't think that's good. I like immediate access if I need it. I tried to "get" google checkout..I have an account opened, but don't know how to change it to a merchant account. Oh well...

I think Google do well when you consider paypal take 7 days before it arrives in your account and if its under 50.00 poopay charge for it.

    Hi Sandy,

Go to Google Check Out & Apply (using guide Jan has on USA Experience). Complete Financial Imfo - they only need bank name, account, & routing #; you don't even have to contact your bank. It can be personal savings or checking if you deal as individual. They also ask for credit card. What's great is they make a deposit into your account and you don't have to return it.

Once the deposit is in your account, just get back to google checkout & tell them how much they gave you (Verification). Then, voila, they approve you, if there are no unforseen problems.

    Hope this helps!

P.S. Yes, google checkout is a separate merchant account like pheebay. Every feature you use on google is separate. For example: google checkout, google base, google adwords, etc. Note: Each has their own settings & need to be checked to make sure that the set up is correct! Requires time & patience.

    Ava
