Merlin Has Just Said He Is Leaving Ebid

I have heard from Merlin that he is leaving eBid. Can anyone help me to convince him to stay? I'm emailing him with encouragement, but could use some help. Thanks all.

Merlin, Dave, if you go, then what will you be able to moan about on here, I know you are annoyed (again) as you were when the auction width changed just a few weeks back, this place does need people like you, but it is your decission at the end of the day.

From a personal point of view, you have gave me help in the past where others have failed. Yes I know that you sometimes get too wound up but that is what makes you your own charator, if everyone was the same then this world would be a very dim place to be.

I hope you stay Dave, this is a good place (most of the time)

Merlin. I am sorry to hear that you are going to leave eBid, Although I have only been here since February it was your links on the threads that helped me to understand eBid and went part way to convincing me that I had made the right decission. I have often read your threads and although not always agreeing with what you say, I believe in free speech and with your right to express your opinion,s. As others have said if you do go ahead and leave you will be missed so hope you will reconsider and get back home where you belong and keep us all on out toes.

Hi merlin,

I'm new here and dont know you very well but I believe that you have answered some of my questions here when i first joined and I appreciated that very much like I do with all the friendly people here.

I also read a lot of other questions and you are always there to give advice to people.

You seem like a well liked member here, and it would be sad to not have somebody like you that is so helpful towards others.

I hope that you stay here too.

Yes i was very annoyed about the auction width, and all the drop down stuff doing my head in, but its not a reason to leave.
