What happened in the Happy Hour auction tonight?

What happened in the Happy Hour auction for an Acer laptop tonight? There was a barred member bidding £260.99 at the top of the list, but when the auction closed it went to hecman2 for £192.50. They must have been surprised, but even then they could still have paid more than necessary, if the barred member had been pushing up the price.

The loser was definitely eBid_UK, as the laptop had stopped being bid on long before the end of the Happy Hour. If the winner couldn't be a barred member, why were they allowed to bid at all and ruin a perfectly good auction?

Ive found that.

Recently i have been listing some happy hour auctions but i feel they are not selling as well because the eBid team are placing high-value electricals on happy hour the past 2 weeks.

I wouldnt mind a fair shot at one of my items being sold for the price i want but i feel that by eBid placing those high-end items its less money to be spent on mine.

I think i will be stopping my happy hour auctions because of this and just set them to normal 7 or 10 day auctions.

It hasn't stopped me bidding on yours tonight .

Some sellers make a point of using front page when ebid have auctions up - because there seem to be more visitors.
If you want your listings to be picked up for the google products upload- put some of them as ten day with a BIN so they qualify

I know that Holly but what i seem to be getting is people that are bidding on mine are also bidding on the laptop tonight and last night.

Yesterday i sold norton 360 for a measly £20 including postage when it recently sold for £42 excluding postage 2 weeks ago when eBid didnt have any happy hour auctions up.

Thats why im having my doubts.

Prices vary wherever you sell, it just happens to depend who is around, how far before payday, how many are looking for your item, lots of factors.
