anyone that knows anything about putting password protection over a website so its like if a user has a page on your site eg a band that they can edit the page there self and only have that page they could edit

Sounds like you want Dreamweaver with Contribute 3 although I don't know much about it

Creative a protective directory and in there you can put in pages and pass word protect, this will allow only access to those pages and you would probably need dreamweaver to do it or some similar editor good luck Linny

forget anything that codes in html - you need a SQL server plus php to achieve what you're looking for. For tougher security, you might also need SSL and SSH certificates - once you're into that territory, forget about using UK web hosts - they're pants. You'll need to host in the US to get the good servers and backend tools.
