Naming my shop

Hi everyone.
Excuse me if I'm being a bit thick, but I'm trying to set up a shop in my business name. However, I keep getting the message


'Error : There is already
Store active with title "Maggies Online Shop" in the our system. Your
Store Title must be unique.'

I've emailed support, but they don't seem to have a clue what I'm on about.

If I can't set up a shop with my business name, I don't see the point of carrying on. How can I build a brand name here if I have to call my shop a different name?

As seller+ members can have up to 5 stores, the most important part of your business and brand name is your ebid username .
For your first store have you tried Maggies-online-shop or Maggies_online_shop?

It sounds as if somebody is already using the name.
Much the same as when you buy a domain name, if your first choice is already taken you need to find a variation you can have.

? Have you tried the two variations I suggested? I can't believe all 3 options are used up.
Support here is better than the rivals because they are real people, not aqutomated responders. If you have sent them a detailed email explaining your question i'm sure they will respond.
Just to reasure you again, your 'branding' is based on your ebid user name not your store names. and you have the ebid user name you want

Is it possible to search for store name so we could see if the shop is still being used?

It is frustrating if you have your heart set on a name, only to find it has already been taken. You can have up to 5 stores in your eBid account, do you have different categories of items that you sell? You could name each store accordingly eg Maggies Online Craft Shop, Maggies Online CD Shop etc. If you sell items from different categories it is often better to set up different stores, as you can search for stores by category.

Erm Are you trying to put the name Maggies online shop Or Maggies_online_shop Or Maggies-online-shop?
I dont think the system allows Blank spaces! (simple as that!) so use underscore or dash? Basically the same as Hannaholly's already said!

Hi,
I run a google check on all the shop names I chose prior to submitting them to Ebid.I had shut my feebay shop down first.If you have a feebay shop of that name it could be the problem.
