Dedicated GREETING CARD Category

I believe this has been asked before, but could we PLEEEEEEASE have a dedicated Greeting Cards Category, not hidden under Occasions & Seasonal?

Eg: parent category - GREETING CARDS
sub categories - Birthday, Wedding, New Baby, Get Well etc. etc.

I've told everyone I know about my store but so many people say they can't find it or would never have thought to look under Occasion & Seasonal, they expected to see an actual category for Greeting Cards, especially as it's something people buy online so often.

I'm sure other sellers (and buyers) would appreciate it too.

yes that would be much easier to find unusual items and craft items..

I have been using a category under handmade goods: cards, which is under crafts and sewing.

I agree it is very much tucked away though!

Getting a new parent category is always difficult (I assume it is more work than introducing new sub-cats) so how about this..

Occasion & Seasonal with a sub cat Greeting Cards
that divided into Baby, Christening & Dedication,
Birthday, Engagement, Congratulations, Wedding, anniversary, Open, Christmas, Easter, New Year, Sympathy, Other Festivals (unless we already need Jewish, Moslem and other faiths' festivals spelled out? I can't do that as I don't know which would be appropriate).... Any more?
Then each bottom level category divided into Handmade & Printed?
That would remove the handcrafted cards from under Crafts (which is usually for materials rather than finished goods).

There is a category here under handmade items too for card making - i.e card paper and envelopes and separate one for handmade cards.

Yes, jo, but most people who visit the crafts section are crafters whereas your customers are most likely not!

I have changed my store to the category you have suggested, but I have seen no change in views as yet and certainly no extra sales - well one would be nice

I will continue with it there for a while but I feel that the Occasional and Seasonal is a long way down the page and Crafts seems to be higher up.

Still I hope you are right
