Default Why do People bid and then Don't pay?

What is the point? To antagonise sellers? There just seems to be a lot of buyers onEbid that Don't pay and I kinds wonder Why? Now that Ebid have made paypal availiable on most peoples listings I can't see why people still bid then don't pay? (Unless its the normal Family crisis and Computer crash!)

it is most annoying ,but 1 benefit is that you dont have to wait for ever like feebay for the money they take off you..i am myself having a problem trying to change my credit cards on pppay.com and to be honest it is very hard work...so perhaps new bidders who think its easy to pay get the hump still no exscuses they could always send po or cheques or use papypal or google ..its sad as you put the effort in and no reward MAY I ADD THAT PROBLEM IS SOLVED PPPAY.COM DID IT WELL

    Hi Rednosty,
I have had a run of them this year.
I have got one at the moment who has bought a seasonally specfic item and who hasnt paid yet... three weeks later. So now i am stuck with the thing!!!It doesnt matter what payment options you offer google, nochex, paypal, pppay, cheques and postal orders etc.If someone doesnt want to pay they wont. There seems to be a real devil may care attitude with some buyers. Some seem to act on Ebid the way they wouldnt dream of on feebay.
    Kind regards,
    Michaela

I've had a couple just recently, it is a real nuisance. They both were new to Ebid, but that should not stop them paying or responding to emails.

Normal family crisis I can understand BUT......................there are other ways of contacting ebid sellers, libraries & internet shops have the ideal computers & connections to allow a buyer to check out their ebid. Also other members of families & friends have internet. I had a buyer once who couldn't make up their mind as to whether it was a family crisis a car crash or whatever else happened. End of the day regardless of whether you paid for the actual listing inform support they will send an email out to them, & if still no payment support generally takes action against the buyer.

    Hi,
I have had 11 NPBS since feb this year.I am tiring of it.Cant ebid tighten up the system,eg new member with no feedback gets one deserved neg and is thrown out. This may help stop buyers treating sellers so flipantly when it comes to non payment.I dont hold with the argument that buyers cant find their way around Ebid enough to pay as they manage to BIN or bid easily enough. In the same time frame on feebay i have have one NPB.
    Kind regards,
    Michaela

I can't understand the arguement that eBid is difficult to use either Lottie. I certainly had no problems when I started here; yes it is different to greedbay but apart from the small things like having to mark someone paid before filing an npb (now rectified) there are no major difficulties.

If these people moved to a different town would they expect the layout of the shopping centre to be the same? Of course not they would learn their way around the new place.
