Hello drsiddeley, welcome to eBid. You can use the site for free as a buyer. If you would like to sell then there are a number of different subscription options and you can access them via the help facility on your eBid home page.

Seller+lifetime allows people to list for free but these are 'basic' listings. Additional pictures, gallery and other features are charged separately if you choose to use them. The prices are very reasonable compared to other sites.

One thing to watch is that the lifetime thing could stop if you fail to update your credit card details when the old card is about to expire.

Hope this helps but if you need more info just shout.

    Hi Drsiddeley.
When you elect to upgrade you get a series of options. The first button in the row is 'seller lifetime', and below it it says 0.00. that's the option you want for a basic selling account.
All the other options relate to the 'seller+' account type, which does cost to join (but has more benefits than the basic seller level) People can subscribe to seller+ on a weekly, monthly or annual recurring subscription, or sign up for seller+ lifetime for a one time fee.

Some features are not available to the basic Seller account.
Some features can be bought as optional extras for a small fee per option.
Extra features are included in the Seller+ account.

Fees and charges are shown via this link: http://uk.ebid.net/help_money.php

If you paid for a 30 day subscription to a Seller account, then you will get all the features of a Seller account for 30 days before the subscription automatically renews.

If you want ALL the features of a Seller+ account, then you need to upgrade to a Seller+ account.

Editing auctions which do not yet have bids is easy.
Start in your "My eBid" (Top of page, green bar).
On the left side choose "Auctions I'm Running".
Locate your chosen item on the list and choose "Edit" from the right hand end of the same line showing the auction title.
Make your changes to the page and click "Save Changes".

Seller accounts are not available for 30 days, only Lifetime.

    Seller+ does have a 30 day option.

A reserve price is always available for Seller and Seller+. Did you mean BuyNow price?

well i alter'd from start immediatly to first bid and added an extra cat,and the reserve window became available, but i do not know how to view what i have previously paid for,and i have to confess that my lacking in computer skills isnt making this any easier, so far it has taken me 2 days to get this far, now when i hit the preview button i'm told to wait!so i am still notable to try selling anything,
