Susan, ~ please would you add my 'new' Store, 'Ruperts Books', (when you get a chance. No hurry. 'Cause I know you're very busy. ).

    Thank you, Simon.

PS. technically, it's supposed to have an apostrophe in 'Rupert's', but this didn't work with eBid's formatting for Store names, so I've left it out!

OK, that's 3 more stores added, 2 from TC and one from Rupert. Sadly, I've also had to delete a couple more.

Please note that when you nominate your store for inclusion it will be deleted if you fail to notify me on any changes. any change to store name alters the URL and therefore, breaks your link.

Only the best will be included, as I don't have the time to keep checking other people's stores each update.

Thanks to all who are still with us on this and may 2008 bring you great success

Would anyone else care to tally up their annual turnover on eBid? This really is going to be a loco-promo in 2008 and it's best to know what you have already achieved in order to set your sites and aim higher. You don't need to reveal your totals here but it is a good piece of information to have. I would, however, like to hear from anyone once they set their personal targets

My accounting year runs April to April so I'm at 6 months stage. Ironocally this year- despite having more listings I am over 22% down on this time last year.
I blame this on loosing some regular customers to the dreaded ( and in most cases apparently unexplained!) ebid strikethrough curse. This is why I really want ebid to consider reviewing their strikethrough process!. My aim this time next year to have turnover of 20% greater than 2006!

    Talking Truly Loco-promo

I did a review of my eBid sales at the end of June - mid year - and then charted the trends. Year on year, sales have increased. They doubled between 2005 and 2006 and then increased 1400% this year and I don't even offer much for sale, let alone try to earn a living doing this. It was just a bit of fun that had the potential to cover what it cost to 'play' online. However, when I looked at the half yearly figures and realised there had been such a huge jump, it made me think that perhaps it was just the tip of the iceberg and that, with a bit more time and effort, I could do much better by treating eBid as a serious contender instead of just a hobby.

I'm really laying my neck on the line for 2008 and I don't know how I'm going to work in my local sales, as they obviously cannot be carried out online within the same postcode area, but that's a chance I'm willing to take. I wish ME luck and wish I wasn't this daft, but that's me all over - daft as a brush and prepared to accept defeat IF it catches me LOL

I have already publicised the fact that my target for the 2008 Cyberdosh Challenge is to earn £3,000 from nothing, and I am going to stick at that. It's a mammoth task to find that amount of nothing in the first place, let along try to sell it and convert it into cash, but an empty ISA awaits next April and I don't plan on letting it starve to death. I also have the added weight of knowing that it isn't just me (or you) who is watching the Cyberdosh challenge progress on here.

Edited in 12/11/07 - Just realised that the ISA allowance goes up to £3,600 in April 2008, so, apologies for the above mistake.

Like HannaHolly, my accounting year is April-April but as I joined eBid 05/01/07 it's quite handy for an annual challenge.

My target for next year is to increase turnover 300%.

I'll go through my records to get totals at the end of the year and let you know the exact figures then. In the mean time, as a rough guide, I've sold 405 items and bought 144. I was quite surprised when I added it up. I didn't think I'd had that many sales (wish they'd leave feedback) and I certainly didn't think I'd bought that much

Well done, cmjewels! Yes, it is surprising when you look back through sales figures and payment provider invoices to see just how much sold, how, where and when. We constantly have 'comparisons' running alongside eBid and the results are always interesting.

2008 for the year of cyberdosh on eBid, anyone?

Hi Lisa, number 6 out of 57 qualifying entries was not bad at all!

Congratulations to all who took part. I hope you have all enjoyed being a part of the Cyberdosh Loco-Promotions during 2007.

There's no chart next month and, for January 2008, we are on to a whole new Cyberdosh Challenge. Good luck to those who are participating
