I accept cash in £s, I advertise that on all my listings for those people who may not have a debit or credit card. I send them a barcoded invoice and they can print it and then pay cash anywhere they see the PayPoint sign. Haven't had the time to read back all of this thread, so I may have picked it up wrong, but I don't believe there is anything unlawful about accepting cash payments. At the end of the day, all payments equate to cash.

i do know what £ sterling means im not that thick! just wondered with all the payment centres about now do people still send cash through the post.prob just me ive had a couple send me cash without me knowing and i ended up with the envelope in a plastic bag from the post office aplogising for the damage to the letter but was nothing in, and as they say at the post office if it disapears theres nothing they can do.
I've had people send me well concealed cash ( their choice) and I advertise that i will accept unused british postage stamps for values up to £5.00. I can always use stamps, i don't have to wait for a cheque to clear, and the buyer doesn't have to pay for a postal order :0)
thats a good idea, i bought my first postal order last week, i didnt know they charged so much for them!
Are people selling?
My answer is yes. I sell my postcards as buy it now which tends to suit the buyer. I have seen a steady increase in sales. A fellow seller - Dave Lee Postcards has assisted because he offers a very good alternative shop to me and this competition is healthy as it seems to keep people interested in checking out our regular new stock of cards. I would encourage more postcards sellers to try Ebid.
I have no complaints. Ebid is not as busy as Ebay but when the difference in fees is taken into consideration it is much better listing your stock on here.
My advertising and selling strategy is working and I would encourage others to follow suit.
Happy Xmas to everyone

Are people selling? Yes they are but I am confused.
When I hit the 'buy' tab to have a nose around the listings I see a list of 'hot sellers' down the left-hand side of the page and I have been watching this list. This evening one of the sellers had a zero rating, others weren't much better. There were a couple that were a logical choice for the list but the mix today was similar to previous days and I can't work out what the criteria is for appearing. Can someone elucidate please?
Hi Blue
Think I saw it mentioned, that it was sellers who had made a sale that day, it's totally random & changes twice a day.
Saying that, I went for a nosey earlier & looked at a hot seller with 0 feedback. All their links were directed straight to their own e-commerce enabled website
The words "peeing" & "wind" spring to mind!!

That hot sellers thing isn't working well is it. I saw one who's account was suspended!
Does Feebay allow you to mention Ebid or put a link to this site in Feebay auctions? I thought links weren't allowed.
