Thread: I hate FEEbay

    Angry I hate FEEbay

I have never really liked the place as it is an over priced site but today has totally tipped me over the edge - I was suspended from ebay some time ago for not paying "99 pence" for an item which was wrongly describe i brought something which i ashumed would fit to later be told it was childrends (advert did not say that) so i was suspended for 12 MONTHS!!

I knew nothing about this as i wasnt using the same address i had used before so was not told i was suspended and i made a new account as could not remember old user name - then they find out and suspend me again fair enough but they wouldnt tell me what for and were very rude to me..so i thought sod it im not dealing with ebay any longer.

TODAY my parents account has been suspended / blocked because ebay belive it is in connection with my account (we live in the same house and my mother used an email address of mine as she does not have her own) they have a 100% positive feedback they have always paid they have dont nothing wrong but be related to me (poor things)

So now i am extremely ****ed off and they have items ending today but cannot sort things out or pay for won items because of ebays suspension - also 48 hours for an email response GRRRRR i am so angry!!

Ebay should contact the person with the problem BEFORE suspending there account rather than just cut people off - i really am stressed at this as my parents are going mad they have paid selling fees for what!!...nothing shows in there ebay now GRRRRRRRR

Rant over but any helps ? suggestions ?

LOL join the club, my daughters account got suspended due to her living in the same house as me, I got suspended coz a buyer claimed they had sent their payment, they couldnt remember if it was cash or check. They lied as I hadnt recieved any payment, I got back on under another user & email, lasted about a year then got suspended again, opened up another account lasted about 4 months, paid greedbay the fees through peepal, greedbay kept sending me reminder notices for payment of fees, I argued id paid them, then I decided to close my account & thought sod em. Now me mum has been suspended a few times cos of buyers & sellers, buyers claiming they paid or lied in fb, sellers claiming they sent items recorded but never recieved. I remember buying loads of stuff & paying for them & not being able to contact the sellers as to whether the item had been sent. Many times peeps get ripped off by this act. If theyre gonna suspend you then as a paying customer you should still be allowed to access your account if you have paid for something, ok block the user from buying & selling. But not if they have already paid.

Best thing I ever did was finally leave greedbay. My neighbour joined about a year ago & lived directly next door to me, she asked me to open up her account, i did & we posted her stuff, within 3 hours she was banned, 1, they claimed she was me, 2, they claimed her credit card was either stolen or fraud. She hasnt got a bad mark against her name & greedbay demanded she send in her birth cert, driving licence and all sorts of stuff including her passport to prove who she was, I advised her as it would be going to N.Ireland she shouldnt do it & that greedbay had no legal right to those documents any way.

My advice is, stay away from greedbay, theyre losing the auction site anyhow by banning the wrong people for the wrong allegations. Greedbay prefers the ones who can sell alot more than others, though some peeps on eBid still manage to sell on there. Good luck to them.

    Angry S***Ebay

Hi, same here, recently been suspended, dont know how long for but suspect it will be a year, because some other ebayer who did not like the competition told ebay that i was in trademark violation of certain products so suspended me, no questions asked, although hundreds of the same items that i was selling still remain on ebay happily trading, it really p++++s me off . Been told on good authority that there does not actually have to be anything wrong with your item your selling but if anybody complains about it its automatically pulled, no questions asked. Be carefull with paypal as there are the same company and if suspened can freeze your account and hold on to your money for months for no reason as there are not governed by any banking or fianance regulations.
While i'am on here can you still sell your items on ebid with the same sort of success as ebay, although i know there are not as popular as ebay yet.
Any reply would be great. Cheers Mr Excellent

    Hi
EBID is not ebay - you 'll need to do some research to decide the best strategy to use here. Spend some time reading the help forums which are above this one for ideas. I'm unsure what you're selling but do check out the ebid help pages for their rules on copywrite. I think all sites are tightening up on copywrite issues to avoid big lawsulits!

......and if you are 'lucky' enough to get re-instated after a suspension, you have to set all of your listings again from scratch! I've been suspended for a year for selling something which they deemed illegal even though it can be found on Amazon. I tried to appeal, but just got the standard template email claiming they had reviewed my case and decided that their action was correct. There are so many fake DVDs and software on there, yet they leave all that there and concentrate on the general sellers.

We just need to make sure that we get it popular enough on here so that people don't feel that they have to keep some auctions running on there to keep their sales going.

Isnt amazing how things "get lost" or you " don't receive" things on feebay? When selling on ebay, I always insisted on recorded delivery as a seller. Mostly to cover myself, as you are automatically in the wrong with peepal if no reference number available and no comeback available. But on glorious ebid, I have managed to sell hundreds if not thousands of things and Royal Mail have never "lost" an item.

mrexcelence. Read this & do without fail. Go to peepal copy & paste all your buyers email addys, send them all an email link in the email and let them know where you have moved to. Advise them that this site is much more friendlier and we do not tolerate fraudulent sellers.

At the end of the day we too have to help advertise otherwise our items wont sell. I have sold alot of items over the last few months & sales are still going strong.

If you still have buyers address's ie: recorded slips send them a note with possibly a compliments slip with ebids addy.

    The more the merrier.

Herbalbrew. OOoh now you hit the nail on the ehad, I always send items recorded UK signed for INT. And it is amazing how people claim they havent recieved their items on greedbay. Even though I provided greedbay with tracking number & proof of signature, I still got warnings & eventually booted off, as the buyer would leave neg even though they got their items. And greedbay have a policy regarding the amounts of negs peeps get. Even though you have no chance of returning the neg coz you have been booted off.

LOL dont put your hopes up too high, you may not get it back greedbay booted my mum for no reason & they owe her £50 in fees. If you do get it back then good on you, but I wouldnt hold my breath on it. Normally the refund will be kept in your greedbay account until they decide to reinstate you. By then you havent been able to get hold of YOUR money, & greedbay are lapping up the extra interest from with holding your money.
