Oh yes, i always answer the door. Its just a bit of fun for the kids. I can understand that some peeps might not like being disturbed in the evening. My children love trick or treating. I will only allow them to knock if there is a sign that they celebrate Halloween, NO PUMPKIN NO KNOCK! I usually leave a pumpkin outside and spiders web on the door as an invitation to knock.

I've got loads of sweets in a bowl ready for them, bag full of coppers that i have been collecting, gonna get a chicken kebab in, and some soapy water ready.
Round my way you can treat em, but they still love doing the old egg trick at your door
Life is serious but taking it too seriously robs you of
happiness, fun and productivity
We are over a mile from the village, so no Trick or Treat, Penny for the Guy, or Christmas Carollers either. The little darlings can't walk this far in the dark!
Well they are so soft they can't even walk to the school next door but one in daylight. Mummy has to get the car out.
