Default how many pages in your store

Well I have been trying to decide, how many pages to have in one store,

I know I never go passed 3 pages of items listed in any store,

    WHO else is the same,

WHAT do you think is the best number to have,

I'm not sure that pages is the right way to judge. I try to keep my stores to particular classes of item. I think 3 pages of one category within a store is probably my limit. Beyond that I would sub-divide it.

4 shops for Cats Protection & Prospect Hospice
    My Postcard Shop
    BK Stamps for Philatelic listings
    & Yarnalong for craft patterns
    and
Lotzabitz -anything that doesn't belong in one of the other shops.

    good input madelaine,

may be more sellers could follow you advise,

I hate going into a store and find 5 to 25, pages of items much the same stuff,

and another of my hates, Heading, 9ct gold what ever,

description sold 9ct gold filled, GP, EP, AND all the other ways they use to trick you,

If its not SOLID GOLD it should not be in the gold section,.

but thats just my pet hates,

    whats yours,

Well I have 10 pages, and over the next few weeks will be adding more so could go up. I was thinking of getting rid of stuff thats been on here for quite some time, give to local cat shop. Im trying to get shot of it not keep it hanging around taking up space at home.

It's a lot easier for Buyers if your shop is divided into "departments" if you sell different types of items. i.e. Jewellery, baby clothes, women's clothes. It makes it a lot easier to find what you are looking for. If I go into Tesco's I expect to find like products with like. If I look at a shop, and find 10 pages to wade through in the hopes of finding what I want, then I won't bother. 3 pages is definitely my limit for mixed items. I don't sell despite Espit trying to entice me in by offering free listing for my first three items. I don't think so.

I got the email this morning Madelaine. 3 items free listing for first time sellers. I only sell seeds and plants through my mates Car Boot Stall. Enough profit that way. No FVFees , listings, photos. At the Bootie, what they see is what they get. My friend is quite happy as the plants draw people in, and they often buy her stuff too. Her trade has doubled since putting my stuff on display.
