I woke up one morning two weeks ago with such bad toothache banging my head off the wall was less painful!
So off i went to the dentists he gave me antibiotics and was told to go back in a week, so i went back and guess what more pain and more antibiotics and told to go back wen i finish the antibiotics. Then back to get my tooth out which he did on thursday and ive bn back again 2day because the tooth nxt to the gaping hole has be throbing all weekend (only 6 hrs sleep scince thurs) He said he cant see anything packed the hole and told me to come back wed.
I have no problems 4 years then get toothache and im never away from the place, 5x in 2 wks.
Can any1 beat that?

No but if he says he cant see anything go for a 2nd opinion, another dentist may see something he cant see,

I had much the same a few weeks ago, was cryin like a baby with the pain.
Dentist took x rays & had a bit prod about...as they do lol.
Well, he hit THE SPOT with his prodder & after they had prised me down from the ceiling & re-attached my fingernails, decided it wasn't toothache after all.......YA CUDDA FOOLED ME!!
Turns out it's this trimengial neuralgia (don't know if that's spelled right), the sheath around a nerve that ends near ur teeth starts wearing through & the pain is EXCRUTIATING. So, if it's ur top teeth, just below the side of ur nose....get a second opinion....lol

& if all else fails.........


3 or 4 glasses of brandy work a treat lol

Why did you not go to your nearest NHS all night/day surgery. Mine is in Croydon 5 miles away. My boy was in such pain and after about 15 phone calls and refusals (From the said croydon hospital) Someone finally said just bring him along and we will take it out.

Sounds like you had an Abcess which explains the initial treatment and now it could just be gum pain (which can feel like toothache)

Always best to get it checked but sometimes when you get a tooth out it opens up a side of the tooth next to it that has not had much exposure and sometimes it can be painful for a week or so until it gets used to being out in the open.
