Lots of food for thought in your post and others in this thread, it would be great to have a person keeping the lights bright, always some have a fog machine on the go ( maybe some person got a career doing just that!).

One thought that springs to mind ( don't mean literaly I do get more than one thought at a time.......mmmm errr I forgot what I was going to write.....'k yes) maybe some people who have read this may not feel comfortable adding ideas on a public forum or some may have ideas that are outlandish and or very good and having a less public option to pass these thoughts onto ebid may open other avenues.

    Default Marketing

I work in business development and have tried many different forms of marketing over the years. The are pros and cons to them all but I would stay clear of pay per click (adwords) marketing, a big rip off in my opinion. I really beleive that the best form of publicity is self publicity. Richard Branson was famous for getting out there on the streets and spreading the word. Just get a gang together, target a big city, get some logoed up t shirts on and hand out flyers and lollipops on the street. Have fun, make friends and make an impact. Low cost, cheerful and very powerful advertising. Or devise some stunt, something fun that will get in the news.

Have a read of this for some inspiration

The feedback on that idea has been what?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that was a good rant!.....
.....by the way...where are your 99p auctions?

I know of at least 36 auctions with a starting bid of 99p....they finish tonight...
Mmmm the problem with this is WE Tend to then bid on each others stuff and Therefore NOT drawing in the new buyers we all crave.
