Default Ydc 48 Custom Start Auction Problem

    Hi Gazza,

Yesterday I listed ID# 1190825846-750-0 and set it up as an YDC 48 7 day auction custom selected to start 9/29/07.

Everything appeared to be alright after I listed it yesterday though I did question that it placed at the beginning of my 9 day auctions with the countdown ticking. I have never set one up to custom start and I just thought it was counting down and when it got to the correct time would become active for bidding as the option to bid was not available and the statement "This auction has a start time of Sat 29 Sep 2007 11:32:34 (PST). You will be able to make a bid then." was there.

Today it has changed to 9 Days > 1st Bid and moved to the end of my auction list. The option to bid is still not available and the statement "This auction has a start time of Sat 29 Sep 2007 11:32:34 (PST) is still there.

I have not edited this to try to change it back as I thought you may need it left as is to find what the problem is.

I have sent this to support for their help.
    Regards,
    Peggy

Thought I would let you know I have received word back from support that even though it shows 9 Days > 1st Bid it will actually start 9/29 and end 7 days later on 10/6.

Does anyone know if starting 9/29 it will show in the search as a 7 day countdown or if it will show as 9 Day . 1st Bid, which would make a lot of difference in it being seen.

We've fixed the problem, but it was a 9 day auction, not 7 as far as i can see.

    Hi Gazza,

Thank you for the fix. However, I think when setting up an auction to start at a future date, the close time should be how long the auction should run after it starts instead of how long from the time of setting up the auction.

    Start Time
Sat 29 Sep 2007 11:32:34 (PST) Close Time
    Sat 06 Oct 2007 11:44:52 (PST)

For example, I have changed that to end 10/06/07 which is 7 days after it starts on 9/29/07. To get the correct end date to show in the listing I had to show that I wanted to close it after 8 days 3 hr 30 min.

If setting an auction up to start a few weeks later to run for a special occasion it would be easier to be sure the auction was running the correct number of days if the time close was for the actual number of days we want the auction to run.

    Regards,
    Peggy
