I put an old oven out and someone asked if they could take it so they could use it as a bed for their chicks.

A friend of mine left her not-working cooker on her front step knowing that someone would pinch it, saving her the trouble of taking it to the dump. It was gone inside an hour.

And you mean you didn't let him have chairs, rednosty? How mean of you!

Your right there Pete. I would NOT WANT a Plasma TV.

Oh And I live in London Need I say more!

Once I left an old saucepan out front It was really really bad and someone picked it up and walked away with it!

I must admit I have picked up an Old guitar (with strings) from someones front garden and as I was on the way to the local church Tabletop sale I gave it to them and Asked later and they got a £5 for it!

Pssst Do you want some chairs in a swop deal?

Oh dont remind me Nosty, when I lived in London our Council gave us all boxes for glass, steel & tin, magazines & papers. I filled up my steel one with old saucepans & frying pans, they had definately seen their day back then & we had just moved house yet again. Next I knew I caught the recycle collection men going through them saying "Oh my mrs could use that". I said to them "Do you want the boxes to go with them." I mean they were well past their user date and of no use to anyone unless they were melted down & used for summat else. I dunno some peeps eh!. Also we left some wardrobes on the front lawn as we couldnt get them up the stairs, we were going to dismantle them when the removal men left & we had people knocking on our door asking if they could have them, when I said no they said theyd return later to get em. So we dismantled them blooming quickly.

My daughter's washing machine broke down. It went off with an almighty great bang, with smoke and flames. She and my grandson manhandled it out into the front garden. The Council would charge £25 to take it away. She took the dog for a walk and when she got back it had gone. Must have been quick off the mark. If they had asked she'd have paid them £10 to remove it!

That is a bit like here!

I am getting very forgetful and we went out one day and when I came back I found that I had gone out and left our back door - patio doors - wide open all day! Even my husband tells me off for LOCKING the car as he has to go back in and get the keys!

    Won't last forever tho!
