I have the book of noddy & the golly wog & yes it is considered rare and worth some dosh. As for the gollys themselves we did have a store in town who sold gollys and they were in the window, as Bedford is now a forced MULTI cultural town, the ethnics decided to take it upon themselves & claim the store racist. So the store took them from the window & placed them inside so only customers would see them, so being idiots the ethnics decided to bombard the store trash its windows. The store was taken to court and advised that they were NOT allowed to sell golly wogs as it is NOT PC. Well sod that I have 4 gollys "hanging" from my wall at home & I also have one "hanging & dangling" from my backpack.

Dammit theyre only flippin toys we used to play with.

remember the book .. one of my nans friends (a very elderly lady even way back then) used to draw pictures for some of the Enid Blyton books .. I remember thinking it well cool

Seem to remember someone telling me they're stocking gollys again in a shop in Bangor (think it is) thats the Northern Ireland one

Hi gang!

I agree that there's too much PCing going on nowadays. But you know what I hate? When silly peeps ask me oh, do you prefer black or coloured? I prefer you -- off --and ask me something intelligent.

I really don't care about such titles. Many times it depends on the trend of the times, doesn't it. For a while black peeps were called people of colour. So therefore, I guess that little sheep in the pic is a 'sheep of colour'?

Baa baa, sheep of colour, have you any wool?
