    Default Interesting - From Feebay

Refer a Friend: You get up to $50, they get 3 free listings
Limited time only: August 15 - September 15

You get $5 for each friend who signs up as a seller and list something.

Feebay is now trying to buy sellers, the above was the title from a message I got from them.

I thought about it but didn't want to do that to any of my friends.

I got one of those too but it fell under the delete button and went the way of feebay --- down the drain and still going.

Mmm All I had was a reduction in thumbnails offered down from 15p to 5p. Wonder if they are using different tactics in the USA from the UK?

The real question is Will people go back?

They are offering free extnsion to 10 day listings in US, sounds like they are getting deperate to keep the listing numbers up.

Well they won't be getting any of my money.

When they had the last but one reduced fees day I placed 4 items, without selling, then re-listed with gallery to qualify for free-listing. I still got no sale so for £1.60, all I got was 1 solitary watcher.

Looks like they're going to have a bad third quarter. I don't think I'd want to buy any shares just at the moment. I always thought they would have problems this summer.

I think One of the Things the BOYS from EBID could learn from Thiefbay is the SPEED of the CHANGES they implement..They (the Bosses of Thiefbay have realized quickly that they are Over pricing there Product and Have reacted so. EBID SHOULD HAVE MOVED MUCH MORE QUICKLY to advertise during this time. I feel Yet again a great opotunity has passed by. As for Money to Advertise and all this rubbish about oh the sites not quite ready etc etc...Well EVERYONE (Ok not everybody)on the Forums and I'm sure those who are not Would be willing to Fork out a little to advertising (As long as its guaranteed to go onto it!) And as to the site not being ready.Thiefbay still does not work at times.....so you get a glitch so what...you fix it as and when.

Better go and get the Rope and wait for the abuse!

Default On my high horse again...

I had a really long posting about this but deleted it all and decided to write it elsewhere. It began as follows:

Here we go again with the old 'let's all grumble about eBay' saga. OK, let's grumble... it started small, it grew and grew and grew, the media jumped on the bandwagon, the company went public and, despite numerous multi-million dollar law suits, it is still surviving. Or is it....

I don't know if you have noticed, but at one time greedbay were advertising a lot on the tv, but seems to have stopped. In our area that is.

    LOL!

All I got was a (spoof) email telling me I'd attained Silver PowerSeller status because I'd sold so many things recently! Strange, because I haven't listed on feepay in months..... and never will again!

Then again, not that strange. It was a spoof.

    Best wishes, Simon.
