    Default suspended users- suggestions

I have just searched ebid for a bread bin, almost every 'hit' was for a seller with a strike through ( -3 feedback) and over 18000 listings on ebid What a negative message that sends out to potentual buyers.

Ideally I would propose ebid adopted a policy of suspending all listings and shops whilst a user is under suspention. however as there are many reasons someone could be suspended (e.g minor issues like accidently listing in the wrong category). I am submitting the following suggestion instead.

    1. Anytime an ebid user (buyer or seller) is suspended. an automated email is sent to them alerting them to the situation.
    2. For suspended users who have live listings (which in themselves are not contravening ebid listing regs). leave the listings up for a period of 24 hours, giving the seller time to sort out the problem.
    3. After 24 hours. hide all listings and shops from searches.
    4. If the seller hasn't resolved the issue after (say) 21 days. delete all their listings. and the empty stores that went with them

Re the above comments on Incorrect Categorisation .Placing auctions in irrelevant categories is not allowed,.under posting rules and having to apologize to get listings reinstated
This seems very unfair as you are trying to attract Ebayers to your site. If a seller transfers hundreds or thousands of listings over to Ebid there is always the possibility of an error moving a lot of listings as we are all subjct to making a mistake.
Also the category an item could be put into surely is up to the seller as if it is in the wrong category the buyers wanted will not get to see it. Also with specialist items who is to say what category it should be in, surely the seller should know and take the risk that it is seen or not, and what harm does it do if it is in a wrong category
Having all your listings suspended for a mistake and having to apologize without excuses seems very childish.
Ebay is bad enough with all their rules and regulation of which some are obviously need, but I think this one is not

I understand what you're saying but a while ago i looked at mobile phones & had to wade through pages of boosters, this was very frustrating & time consuming. That's just one example.

It might seem trivial to you but as a buyer when browsing a category, any category, only to find it full of incorrect items, what do you do? Wade through them to find what you want, or just look elsewhere?
If you do wade through them how many is too many?

I didnt say it was trivial just that you shouldnt be penalised for a genuine mistake and have to apologise, if a seller continually does it thats another matter.
Another way around it is to have an advanced search with a box where you could put words you do not want to include in your search (dare I say it, as in ebay)
