Thread: Should Not Plug My Items?

  1. #1

Default Should Not Plug My Items?

I plugged an item I had posted in my shop. A piece of software. Totally legal genuine software. After I plugged it, its n been pulled, for what I can only think of is being OEM software. Now the thing is, there are loads of listings for OEM software on this site so why have they not been pulled? Because they didnt try to plug it?
All I see from this, is sour grapes from other parties who saw that I was selling something far far cheaper than they were.
Are we at the Ebay stage already???

Just wanted to add, that I feel a bit bad about the person who had a bid on my item, and now I have no way of telling him that the item was pulled. My first foray into Ebid seems to have failed at the first hurdle. Can anyone suggest a reason why my item was pulled and no others.?
    Thanks

Thanks Hannah.. really stumped me this. Particularly since there are lots for OEM products up for sale. Ive noticed now that Ebid dont permit these listings (not sure why, so long as the item has not been used)

    What does OEM mean, please?

OP, your item will have been pulled because someone reported it not because you plugged it.

OEM is software that can be sold with hardware and the license expires once the lifecycle of the hardware you are installing it for use on expires. Ive been advised that my item was pulled as you are not allowed to post OEM software on Ebid. If this is the case then severla other sellers are violating this policy. Ive a feeling I was reported by one of these sellers. Hence I will gladly report each other offending OEM product

    Angry OEM violation

Well Ive been told I cant list this item. Had bids on it and obviously paid for a few extras.
Ive reported over 50 additional items from 12 other sellers.
If you think this mean of me, Im sorry you feel that way but given that some selfish person has probably reported my item for undercutting theirs (which I thought I had left behind at Feebay), I have done the same to everyone listing these items.

I have a new dvd burner I was going to sell and it comes with a OEM copy of Nero .. I take it I can not sell this here ?
I would say yes, particularly as it comes bundled with the burner, thing is Ebid strictly state NO OEM software. There is nothing that states otherwise. I honestly dont see the problem. The software is legal, it has never been used, hence the lifecycle of its use should never be in question.
