I don't have a digital camera, and was wondering whether you have to include a picture of what you're selling? Presumably if your description is full enough, you don't actually have to include a picture?

You may get away with it on certain items, for instance a CD, but generally even a scanned image is better than nothing, and proves to the would be buyer that you actually own the item that you are wishing to sell. many buyers will avoid pictureless auctions and I bet that if you ran two auctions for the same thing but one had no picture, the other would attract higher bids.

Even a bad picture gives an indication of the condition of the goods - unfortunately not all sellers have the same standards as to what is good and bad condition.
The only item I have bought without seeing a photo was a book on audio cassette which I thought was fairly safe as there was a decent description. However when it arrived the box and tapes were dirty and scratched and, in my opinion, were not worth the amount of money I'd spent. I would have rather paid a little extra and got clean new ones from a shop!
