Thread: Confused about the listing page...

  1. #1

Question Confused about the listing page...

I've just started listing and it all seems very easy..
But I never seem to have the option to actually list an auction.
The only option which is 'clickable' is the BuyitNow/fixed price..
Could someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks

Hi, if i remember correctly, you uncheck that box for the other options to be chosen. If that doesn't help, come back & ask again.

    Hi Susie [from TazBar?]

I've just been listing as well tonight, and not quite sure what the problem is.

There are 2 pages to the listing process
    1st page is where you put in your category, title, html script, etc. + p&p details;

2nd page is where you enter start price, bid increment and/or BuyitNow price if relevant + auto re-list.

Think I've got this right as the vino is flowing freely as I type!

Anyway, welcome to eBid and hope everything goes well for you.

    Hi,
on the second listing page the boxes should read
    Starting Bid
    Bid Increment
Reserve Price (with a no reserve tick box next to it)
Buy it Now Price, (with a Fixed Price tick box next to it)
if that one is ticked you can only list BIN auctions, untick it & you can do normal auctions or normal with a BIN option.

The best idea is to set up your main options on your MY DEFAULTS page (you can set up more than one lot of defaults)
Then at the top of the 1st listing page choose the set of defaults you want to use, click populate & most of the form is filled in for you automatically.

    Hi all,
I must admit, I had the same problem. I could only list with BIN, the option to enter a starting price was greyed out and couldn't see anywhere to change it.
I've looked in My Defaults, and that is all okay so I ended up listing everything with BIN.
