    whos responsible for the return postage if the item you buy is faulty?
    seller or the buyer?

    My policy....... if it is faulty the seller

    if it is simply a change of mind then the buyer

    but only MY policy

    Damn good question! Usually I let the buyer pay the return postage BUT I do tend to give them the money back when the goods arrive back......

    yes i agree100% if the goods are faulty,why should the buyer have to pay
    the reason i asked
    there are lots of sellers now stating that if goods are faulty you are responsible for paying to send the item back
    completely out of order in my opinion

    I agree

    Makes me wonder

    the bottom has dropped out of the retail market and there are still sellers trying to rip you off - do they ever sell?

    That would put me off buying from that person, not just because of the postage but because they are stating that what you're bidding on, you might not get, you might get a faulty one instead.
    Run away & don't bid if you see that.

    i can't think of any reason why the buyer would have to pay the return postage (out of his pocket)



    it's the seller's responsibility to check that the item is as described

    if there is a fault though and it's stated in the auction and the buyer changed their mind, then yes - there! just answered my own question lol
