I think Damians points are good ones.

However I also have a stack of items at good prices that don't sell here but would over there. The conclusion I have reached is there are simply not enough buyers here yet in general.

I think that will change if we just give it a few years more since I honestly believe as people become more Net Savvy they will look for alternative auction sites like this one.

There is however nothing wrong with -ve posts if thats how you feel. The folks running this place need balanced feedback and certainly there is no point pretending to noobies that everythings awesome here cos it aint. Let them try selling here and make up their own minds.

Stick with it mate - One months fees here is about the Fees Feebay would charge you for selling ONE item at £30.....

Slow and steady is the way this place works and despite my gripes I grow to like it more and more every day.
I have a Friend! I dont think My auctions Look bad Considering Most listings are just coloured text and white backgrounds...........Yes the Purple and Yellow is a bit strong But I've corrected that now....I think the way to work it is to list on here and If I'm short of dosh or need some holiday cash then Transfer the good stuff to feebay and viola.......

Damian has somevery good points and Ive thanked him for them. As for the Plus Neg thing I believe you need to tell the truth...I was looking at old threads and its all the same old story. 9 YEARS! Shortage of Money.....Big revamp....Well I've stated my views on this already.....I think EBid have already blown it as People that have been before rarely will return....But hey Its FREE....So many people defend this site but it really needs the owners ASSES KICKED.

Can I make a suggestion? If you are committing yourself to selling on Ebid rather than on feebay, why not put a picture on each of your auctions over there saying something like:"This item is cheaper on ebid "& show a link to your shop here.A photo won't register as a link so won't be picked up by their spiders/robots whatever.Obviously if someone reports it,it's a different story.!Anything to bring your customers over here ay?

On fee bay I get the same sort of Viewing and they would have sold by now...WHY WHY WHY are they Buyers NOT Buying???
First off - I don't think you should have to apologise for discussing buying and selling on the KT or any other board here unless it's the same subject 10 times a day. eBid is an auction site first and foremost - without buyers and sellers there would be no eBid and, therefore, no Forums either

Having said that I love the Forums for the sheer random nature of topics that get posted and discussed on here so I would hope both 'business' and 'fun' threads could thrive in the same place?

    As for your auctions:

I could be amongst the most ignorant men on earth but I've never heard of Raymond Weil watches.

You're the seller and knowlegeable in your chosen field but don't assume all potential buyers are at the same level.

Why not start a 'Plug your Auction' thread with a link to the watches and an idea of what prices their current collection sells for?

You have some quality watches for sale and I have my eye on one or two myself, but I have to agree with Damian in that the auction template style you use does not sit well with the product you're selling.

The 'Comic Sans' font and the flashing stuff really puts me off!

Rednosty instead of the text insinuating that the watch may not work; why not just include the part about if it needs cleaning take it to a professional jeweller?

That would sound more positive. If I saw something saying that the product may not work I would go else-where.

But you would never know how many more sales you might have got either.
Anyway, it's just my opinion. The words might not be as important to others.

    Try this for size.

If you hover the mouse over the pic you should get the little window that gives the option to save this image.Follow the instructions from there then put this pic on feebay alongside your other photos.

Just tried it & it don't work,You'll need to replace the "copy & paste" wording to "type in".If it doesn't work give me a shout & I'll try again.

Hello to all, I'm back again to have my tuppence worth I am very happy this week because my eBid promotion is starting to pay off with 2 new sign ups this week already and a couple of small sales - and the newsletters only got posted this afternoon, so they haven't even landed on doorsteps yet. You are all welcome to join me in this promo but you'll need to pull out my auction plug for the details.
I've also changed my 'All about NYK' page after getting paranoid that the -ve remarks were about mine LOL I don't know if it helps at all but I always look for basic positive listings. I can't really be bothered with the fancy stuff, so long as the seller is honest in their descriptions and nothing puts me off. First impressions always last and that's the good thing about eBid gradually gaining visitors over time. It gives us the time to gauge what is wanted and we have these fabulous forums where people actually take the time to offer opinions, help one another and discuss major eBid issues honestly and openly. I love it here!
    PS: Crusales - nice horse!
