Is our faith in technology stopping us using our brains?

i bought my parents a sat nav as they spend a lot of time visiting us all and seeing as all my family live at different ends of the country i thought it would be a good idea, they used it once in 6 months and ended up 50 miles from where they should be and i had to go and get them.

but as for technology i still cant program the video but laptop repairs are no problem......

One question though why do women turn a map upside down to decide whether to turn left or right ?

We only do it if we're traveling south.

that's only those opposed to the technology - doesn't cover the likes of myself who can arrive at an answer quicker manually than by using technology that's not being clever it's just not having a clue how to use some of the technology around

So, to get back to the OP, could anyone here actually survive for an entire week without electrical / battery / solar powered gadgets, gizmos or technology?

Would you just carry on with a few minor adjustments or would your world grind to a halt?
