I'm still thinking about it as it seems silly to waste money on platinum membership if i cannot cover the cost`s why was gold membership got rid of ? as there are a few sellers like myself who want to sell but cant See the benefits of upgrading as they dont sell the large amounts that platinum sellers sell . i know we have been offered the opportunity to go back down a level to silver but this idea doesn't seem to
    be as attractive as upgrading

I agree - Many of us sell items that are of a low price because of what they are - and this was the reason I left Ebay as their fees were wiping out my profits and I was making a loss.

I have thought about going back to silver but I NEED the gallery / thumbnail pics to get buyers to look, also I have found having a store great - the link is short and easy to put on Business cards etc.

I hope that my cards would eventually do enough so that a platinum membership becomes a good buy but by then it will have gone up! I feel I can't win!

which takes me back to my original statement until more people use ebid the casual sellers especially now will not get a look in Ive taken steps to let every one i know and a few i dont know about ebid Ive even registered on a bingo site under the name of ebid so when i get asked about my user name i tell everyone about this site. we all know this site has great potential but will put casual sellers of using it if they can do it cheaper else were, which would be a great pity.

Platinum benefits are integrated paypal & pppay invoice,
and free unlimited number of shops.

has a gold member i could access my paypal account and send invoices Ive also got pppay so what i dont understand is why they have affectively got rid of gold subscriptions i always paid mine monthly as who knows what tomorrow will bring but I'm not as i said a big seller i do not have the stock to open loads of free shops it just seems that gold subscribers have been penalized just for being small sellers

Am I missing something? Gazza has already advise you that your gold subscription will continue ( all subscriptions are recurring until the person who sets them up cancels them). So how is anyone being penalized?

i pay for my gold subscription every month when i went to check Ive no longer got the option to pay for gold just upgrade to platinum or go down a step to silver? so as far as i can see its either take a step back to silver or upgrade to platinum

I think like Val has just said , that if you are already on gold and your sub level is set at that you stay on that.
Have you mailed support as only they can tell you for certain.

yes ive already got in touch with support and i will remain on gold till my subscription ends next week after that i either have to go as silver or upgrade to platinum?
