Thread: What couldn't you buy on eBid?

  1. #1

Default What couldn't you buy on eBid?

There are lots of people complaining that they'd buy from eBid IF they could find what they wanted so.......

In the last 12 months, OR, for as long as you've been a member of eBid, if it's less than 12 months.

What did you have to buy from feebay instead of eBid & why?

I bought a 2nd hand vectra door mirror, because none were listed here.
A Facimilie of a Warren Fisher 10 shilling note, - not available here
    2 O'Brien 10 shilling notes - not available here
Some card blanks - cheaper over there
Keyring with a Rat on it - none listed here
A ticket my nephew wanted - none listed here.

Most of these items were one off purchases.

Think you all know what i buy by now and none on here sad to say so I have to buy there. I tried to get some of the sellers to list here but they won't do it. don't know why cause quite a few bin stuff. I spend a small fortune on them.

Most of the craft items I buy are here. But I couldn't get tool accessories, (Saw blades), and there isn't much in the fish section! (As in pets!) But that can change!

Sadly i've regularly had to buy boxes of book and VHS sized padded envelopes on the other side, because very few sellers are selling them here, and those that are, are not matching the lowest prices on feebay.

As the price I pay for stationary impacts on the prices I can offer on my auctions- I need to find the best deals around.

My auctions, good prices, fair p&p.

very nice indeed! but isn't that a collectable? thing that annoys me is regular wholesale stuff available now for £3.50 and being started here at £16.99 PLUS way ott postage too - unbelievable! Buyers sees that and thinks no way jose!

We have zero fees here we should be cutting back on our mark ups. I've been regularly marking down my stock on my website because my original prices were those I charge at market. Thing is I pay £100 to sell at the market for the day so my prices reflect that. On my site and on here the buyer can buy and get it posted for the price I charge at market.

As a buyer it gets right up my nose to see blatant greed in an economic climate such as it is at the moment. The retail trade generally is in a recession of sorts, the last thing we need are ott greedy baskits imo of course
