Well at the moment its looking like a Nikon D80 and Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 lense.... totalling just under £900 so guess a little saving needs to be done lol

My suggestion would be to visit a small branch of Jessops and have al look at all the options before you buy. The reason I suggest a small branch is that they are less busy, and in my experience will give you the chance to play with the camera before buying (the larger stores are generally to busy).

When I bought a compact a few years ago, I thought I had found the ideal camera; but when I tried it out in Jessops found it was too small to be comfortable.
