Default you get an offer, agree a deal, THEN

Its been very slow on sales for me, SO when I got an offer for an item that was below my asking price, I was willing to do the deal, get things moving I thought, received a message from the buyer, how pleased he was that the offer was accepted so where to send payment, THEN NOTHING
No payment made, no reason given, just total silence,
NOW is this regarded as a NONE PAYER, and what does one do about it, can it be reported, I am sure WE SELLERS can do without this sort on Ebid,

Did he actualy bid or bin it on ebid, as if not you cant say he is a none paying bidder as he isn't. Just a thought and am not saying you have but, If you set it up between yourselves off site it wont have anything to do with ebid just like on eb*y its a rule breaker.
But I do understand how you feel it so madning, I can't count the amount of times i have changed listings to bins for peeps on e*ay costing me money and then they dont buy, i am sure some of them do it for a laugh.

Hi button, the offer came through ASQ, and my accepted was through there also, so I take it its an ebid accepted way, to communicate with bidders, ! sellers,

Yes I realise that but did he actally bid or buy it, did he press the button to buy or bid because if he didn't he hasn't bought it. No need for the exclamation mark to make your point, I was not getting at you.

hi buttons, I didn`t realise one had to do that,
no bid no buy it now, but its one of those HOW questions, how do your know what you need to do, when an offer is made, the email from EBID with the buyer request states DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL, go to item to respond,
    thats the path I took,
do I have to go into the item and reduce the price to the offered price,
Im in the dark on this one,
more advice needed from ebid on this

I think so hun, its a pain in the neck that we can't email buyers with information. I had a problem yesterday with someone wanting more of one of my items so i changed the total from 1 to 10 and they did a bin and it charged for one lot, and the other 9 dissapeared into cyber space, my fault as it seems you cant change a one lot to a multi lot
I also find it strange that you cant as a seller to send you more pictures of an item, they can't because there is no email address,
I would change the listing to the price you agreed and then send him a message saying, I have changed the listing to our agreed price and see if he then buys it. ( hopefully )

HI AGAIN, ( hopefully ) should we really rely on hopefully,
would it not be better to have a more usefull system,
as you also say you had problems and what you did, did not work, surly that cant be allowed to continue,
If we are going to be dogged with these problems, surely ebid can change the system,
has it been brought to their attention, I dont think this is satisfactory, it does not help the seller in any way,
    can we get something done,

I've nearly always had a satisfactory outcome by emailing support.

Blackball them of course to avoid it happening again.
slinkyri, How do you know that they will do nothing,
this was a question not a statement of fact,
I came to the board to find out what I should do,
and by the answers comming, it seems to-be a big failing in the system,
would going to support get anything changed, to make the system easier to use, with outlined instructions on what steps to follow, all a bit of hit and miss, and no were to go for answers,
do you really want to wait for 24 hours to answer a buyers questions about offers, would it not be easy to install a click button on the auction for MAKE AN OFFER, then the seller just needs to make a reply, yes , no, and ebid can track the outcome, would something like that be so hard to do,

it's just as quick to change the buy now price to the price you agreed with the buyer
they aint gonna bid if you haven't changed it
so you can't say that they have backed out of an agreement
as they aren't gonna bid if the price that was agreed isn't there for them to click on

or am i mistaken, did you change the price and then they still didn't buy?

fact still remains tho that until they bid/buy and then don't pay they can't be a npb

ebid will (and do) give excellent support
but if theres no transaction taken place they can't intervene can they?

i'd do as buttons suggested (if you haven't already)
alter your price and let the buyer know that the price that you both agreed on is now set correctly for the buyer to buy now.

    good luck
