Images of the first plane were shown on the day it happened as a film crew were int he street, on hearing the sound of the jet which must have been extremely loud the cameraman moved the camera from the interview that was being conducted in the street below to follow the sound and thus the world saw the event.

IMO every individual will have there own thoughts on what really happened on that day.
You will always get people that will think its a conspiracy and those that don't.
Debate's on this will last for years,

The conspiracy theories go beyond that, however, suggesting the administration were complicit in the mass murder of thousands of civilians, not that they were simply unprepared for such a well-planned and well-executed terrorist attack.
What I find surprising is the amount of people who are so eager to subscribe to the myriad conspiracy theories out there that they're not prepared to do even the most basic of research or question the validity of the source material.
Take the 'Loose Change' video as an example (link in a previous post in this thread). It is already on a '2nd Edition' (soon to be '3rd Edition') due to its wild factual inaccuracies, spurious claims and use of copyright material without permission.
It is a one-sided, manipulative film taking quotes out of context and including images that don't show the "full picture" (the images of the Pentagon perhaps being the best example). The documentary was made by a student filmmaker who initially set out to make a fictional film regarding a possible conspiracy behind the 9/11 attacks. Yet despite all of that 'Loose Chage' has been downloaded over 10 million times and still proves to be one of the most popular videos on the internet!
No, the images were filmed but NOT shown on the same day. At first the film crew didn't fully realise what they'd got and were too busy trying to get to safety to check it. It was only later that this footage was released to the wider media.
My cousin's son is one of the firemen who just escaped. We all thought he was dead. Communications were dead, and no-one was allowed to leave. It was 12 hours before his mother knew he was still alive. There were newspaper and TV pictures of him going into the building, and we thought he was still in there. Afterwards he said there were a number of explosions. He heard and felt the concussion. He saw parts of the building blow out with flames. He was interviewed by the Security Services as were the few remaining members of his watch. They were told not to discuss the incident with anyone, even family members as it was a matter of National Security. As it was all on film worldwide, and the explosions were heard, why were they told not to talk about it?

Just watched the prog and dear o dear...the pancake collapse theory...just an impossibility.
Nobody explained the ground being at 1300 degrees 5 weeks later.
They didn't show the seismic recordings of the explosions which happened before the towers came down.
Still, I expected the BBC to more or less support the American govt. They admit in their report of building 7, they still don't know what caused it to come down.
Fire has never been the cause of a steel-structured building to come down.The fires in the Towers were nearly out when the firemen got up and the fires never even reached across to the other side. The plane that hit near the corner prob never even did much damage to the central steel core.
There are plenty of firemen and others who heard and felt all the explosions going off before the collapses.
The commentator didn't mention that the computer simulation didn't include the two engines of the plane that hit the pentagon, which rather made the whole demonstration worthless.The engines would have hit the outer wall and made a real mess but no sign of damage .In fact, there were offices with books and a computer not even burnt next to the hole.
Everyone can make their own mind up but I like to base my judgement on scientific facts and laws of physics.
They also forgot to mention the people who were contacted before hand and told not to go into work.
They neglected to mention the absolutely amazing flying ability of the pilot to get the plane right across the lawn without so much as a scratch, despite the massive rate of decent and high speed with which it was meant to have been traveling at.
They also appeared to ignore the amazing coincidence that the one and only part of the Pentagon that had undergone strengthening and updating just happened to be the exact spot where the plane hit.
The also forgot to mention the training scenario which had been worked out years before which used a plane crashing into the Pentagon - in the exact same spot.
They also seemed to ignore the fact that various reports had been published in several years prior which showed an image of planes flying toward the twin towers which were over painted with a huge image like that of looking through a rifle scope.
And so on, and so on, etc..
